L'Ice tea, comment le préparer au mieux? - Row & Ma Paris

Iced tea, how best to prepare it?

Beach, picnic, sun, aperitif, vacation! Iced tea by Row & Ma Paris

The two essential methods for preparing a dream drink, as well as our delicious iced tea recipes, tea by tea.

1. The classic hot infusion

For our green teas this will be at 80° and for our black teas at 95° , both will be infused for 2 minutes . Our Midnight Treasure infusion is also prepared at 95° , but the infusion time is a minimum of 5 minutes . These shorter times than for classic hot preparations are to avoid bitterness. We recommend two heaped tablespoons of tea (15 to 18g) per liter of water . Let cool to room temperature and place the tea in the refrigerator for 2 to 3 hours before serving. To enjoy our teas in an iced version, you don't really need sugar, but you can add a "dash" of agave syrup or honey.

2. Cold brew in a glass carafe

The amount of tea will always be 2 tablespoons (well filled) per liter of water. You can let it steep for 60 to 90 minutes at room temperature , or place your carafe for 4 to 6 hours in the refrigerator. Using slightly less than 2 tablespoons per liter of water you can let your tea steep overnight in the refrigerator and enjoy it as soon as you wake up. To avoid diluting your tea too much (with ice cubes), we recommend preparing ice cubes with the same tea you brewed. For pretty aperitifs, you can decorate your ice cubes with leaves and fruits and of course you can add fresh leaves and fresh fruits to your carafe and glass.

Each tea has its own specialty

Detoxology
Our Detoxology, an excellent detox tea, lends itself perfectly to making iced teas and can be enjoyed in a variety of combinations with fresh fruits, leaves, and even vegetables. We've prepared several versions, the first with melon, cucumber, and basil leaves. The second, simply with a few thin slices of lemon and a few drops of agave syrup. Finally, it's also delicious with a few slices of pineapple or fresh mango.

The Green Minthology
Iced mint tea! What more could you ask for by the pool? Enhanced with red fruits—strawberries or raspberries—and a few mint leaves, its lightness and freshness are ideal for lunch, brunch, picnics, and aperitifs.

Midnight Treasure
Iced infusion to enjoy with peaches (or nectarines) and a few basil leaves. A true delight! Another version can be prepared with exotic fruits like passion fruit and kiwi.

Imperial Exuberance
Simply iced! With nothing added, our version of iced Earl Grey is very pleasant and refreshing. This drink is easier to prepare as a classic hot infusion and then chilled.

The Shock & Pop |
It's the sweetness of summer mornings or the gourmet break of your afternoons. Our chocolate drink is very easy to prepare as a cold infusion because of its strong flavor. Here we prepared it with pears and fresh blackcurrant leaves. You can also make it with raspberries.

Matcha

1. Traditional preparation
Preparation of Matcha with water. Place one teaspoon of Matcha powder in a bowl and add 100ml of room temperature water. Stir well or whisk until frothy, then add ice cubes.

2. Matcha-Latte preparation
The easiest and fastest way is to froth a teaspoon of Matcha in 100 ml of regular or plant-based milk using a milk frother. For a lighter version, cut the milk (50 ml of water and 50 ml of milk). Alternatively, you can prepare your Matcha with water, the traditional way, then froth your milk separately or simply add cold milk and ice cubes. Our Matcha expresses very little bitterness and naturally contains sugars. However, if you wish, you can add a little sugar, a few drops of agave syrup or honey.
